As I mentioned elsewhere, my grandpa died last year. I could spend an entire page attempting to describe all of my emotions during that period, but it still would not be enough. Hence, I'll spare you the reading; simply substitute my grandpa with your loved one, and that should be sufficient.

About a month and a half ago, I began my first composition since his death, and it was something I needed to propel me into more positive thinking. I still haven't gone back to finish it; perhaps I will complete it later, but I do kind of like it not finished. Whatever the case, let me stress that I am NOT a musician/composer. I'm simply a hobbyist (I dabble in everything, from techno to hip hop to rock), and so I very rarely share my music with other people. I treat my songs like an encrypted journal, because once I start listening to a song, I can usually remember what was happening in my life as I made it.


What all this means is that please don't go into it expecting Bach ; it's just something simple that I wanted to put down for future reference. And with that disclaimer, here is "Child Defies Death."

Nice melodies. What did you use to make it?

I used multiple patches of Spectrasonics Omnisphere for the beginning, and Project Sam Symphobia for the orchestra. Symphobia is a bit overpriced, but I still think it's great for quickly whipping up ensemble pieces.
