It will be fascinating to hear how much he can 'teach' or 'share' info about humanities current prospects at immortality.

Just a reminder that this week's Update is a good time for European members to tune in. In the future the Immortality Update may have a fixed time (might be later), or it might move to a different day, depending on levels of viewership.
If you cannot attend the Update, please list any questions you have for Dr. Klatz here in this forum and I will do my best to air them. The one thing I am wondering about, which Dr. Klatz should have a good deal of insight about, is the state of supplement regulation. HGH is coming under fire recently with regards to professional sports. I would hate to see a whole range of potentially beneficial treatments come under fire, because they are disrupting the purity of "natural" sports. I wonder how Dr. Klatz sees the current furor shaking out. |

Also you may wish to ask him, what particularly new and particularly interesting material is included in his new book, which is just published: http://tinyurl.com/2vqddo
Good Luck! |

Dr Klatz is well known for "The Anti-Aging Program of Lex “the Wonder Dog”" - his Airedale terrier dog. Lex turned 11 in 1991 and then lived a further 5 years in good health, probably as a consequence of the supplementation of his diet with a number of vitamins and drugs. When Lex died, following a stroke in 1996, which left him debilitated, he was sixteen and a half years of age - some 30%+ more years than the average life expectancy of his peers.
You can read about Lex and his anti-aging protocol here : Lex "the Wonder Dog" If you have time, I would be interested in knowing if, faced with a similar situation now with an aging dog, Dr Klatz would use a similar protocol to that from 1991 and which components he would either add or remove. I'm thinking particularly of the possible introduction of supplements such as resveratrol, benfotiamine, quercetin, pycongenol and curcumin along with newer xenobiotics such as NtBH, Alagebrium (Gen ALT-711) and perhaps BPAP rather than deprenyl. Would he still use PBN and hydergine? Which, of the supplements/drugs administered to Lex after 1991, does Dr Klatz consider made the most significant difference in terms of his life expectancy. All the best with your interview and also good wishes to Dr Klatz for success with his new book. Thanks also for the opportunity of possibly posing a question! |

Good questions so far. Thank you Tom and Leonid.
I suspect I will also be asking about HRT and HGH. A4M seems to be a proponent of these therapies, yet most "expert opinion" I have read indicates little or no (even negative) affect on maximum lifespan. Perhaps Dr. Klatz has some new insights into the realm of hormone therapies. |

I would be very interested in his views towards Codex Alimentarius' effects on free, non-prescriptive availability of supplements.
About a year ago, European and US initiatives in food and supplement regulation appeared to become detrimental to availability, even on short term. But until now, no general decline of availability can be observed. I stoppd watching these developments closely due to lack of time. I hope I'm able to attend, would be a waste not to, actually. |

Hi Guys,
If you wish to have fun at the end of your conversations, ask his opinion about Tom Perls from Boston, and his new book on human longevity ( http://tinyurl.com/2opjy6 ), against the idea of radical life-extension. You may enjoy some spectacular fireworks culminating your lovely talks! This post has been edited by gavrilov: 1-Mar 2008, 11:39 AM |

Dr. Klatz has also expressed interest in joining in the text chat after the official interview. So stick around to ask questions and discuss the issues.

Dr. Klatz was a great guest and touched on many topics regarding anti-aging medicine and regulation. You can have a listen by going to the Ustream channel and viewing the recorded program. I apologize that the recording did not start right at the beginning. I starts about 3 minutes in, but nothing important was missed.
