In my teenage years I fought a terrible struggle against acne and my (seamingly unfounded from looking at early photos) fear about my acne scarring. I was going to save up to get a dermabrasion but partly due to not having much money and partly due to deciding to wait until the technology advanced more I decided to leave my skin to heal on its own.

These days it seems that some of the advances I had waited for have arrived. I was reading in wikipedia about treatment for scars from some cryosurgery that I have undergone and noticed a mention of the Fraxel laser. I looked up their website and (at least from their marketing material) it looks some their product can make quite a difference at least to the visual signs of ageing.

Check out some of these pictures:

And for some of Fraxel used on acne scarring:

Although the guy in the last pic actually looks slightly happier with his acne scarring lol but definately the women were looking a lot more atractive. ;)

I was going to post this to the ALT-711 topic where I had suggested breaking AGE's with EME (electromagnetic energy) after niner had mentioned how lasers are being used to remove tatoos.

If this can get rid of rosacea then how much? lol I am going to try the red light and near infrared LED lights first. Mine is very minor, but my cheeks look sunburnt all the time :(

How is it different to other lasers we have heard about? (or has this been around for a while)

this looks like it could be helpful for someone with scarring, wrinkling, sagging-- its price balanced as to the need of the person for their self-worth, of course...
