Mine is Mind_Imminst. I am not usually logged in, but perhaps it would be prudent to do so in the future. I think most members here are used to the text interaction, but voice/video conferencing is getting better and cheaper all the time. Skype is free!! Give me a call when I am online.

Interesting idea to remember when we come close to big projects (like conferences and such).

Haha, Adi, I never noticed that thread before. Interestingly, Skype is a technology my DAD actually picked up on before me!

Well, no one uses this thread to post their media... perhaps if anyone will start doing so, people shall notice.

Hmm. I have never been familiar with Skype prior to it being mentioned here. It does look cool after I've researched it. Hey Adi! You've become a full member now. Did your parents reconsider?

Come on Guys!
This could be very interessting!
We could share the newest Data we'v picked up some wehre (not possible in the Chat room) and its much easier to talk then to write.
Conferences also could be hold over Skype, ive done a test with 2 Friends, it was great.

Hey guys, I didn't want to post a whole new topic, but thought I would mention that for those who don't go over to the other parts of the forum, there are some interesting media concepts being utilized over in the "Action & Outreach" forum with Google videos, torrents, podcasts, etc. as well as using sites such as MySpace.com.

For anyone interested:

Sorry for those who had seen it, but I saw infernity's comment, and thought that some of you guys might not have seen it.

Continue on...

;)

In the future I will try to be logged onto Skype whenever I am also logged onto Imminst. That way we can talk when we know each other is online.

Most people are easy to find by their email addresses, which you can read from their profile at imminst. So no need to share anything here, we can all just add each other.

We had a couple skypecasts awhile back, and had maybe 10-15 people show. Maybe we should do one again..

...and, Mind, everything about Vista sucks, so that doesn't surprise me.

I'd have to agree...I'm running Vista on my main computer and it's slow and annoying (thanks Microsoft) [ang]

I haven't tried running Skype on Vista yet, I haven't used it in a long time. I'll try it later and see what happens.

The joy of absent problems due to Linux. I do have a comp with windows on it, but it is XP. I did have Vista (final version) a couple months before it came out, and I wasn't impressed. It takes up too many resources and Aero is too hard on my laptop's graphics card.

Regarding skype, I think that would be cool if we could set up like an Imminst skype group or something and have a monthly or weekly conference. There could be one for Full-Members (will be becoming one in next few days) and Basic-Members or all members.

I think it would be cool!

We had 2 or 3 skypecasts, and there are places to set up regular skypecasts. (they let you have group names and stuff) The few we had were pretty rad.

It would be rad to have a regular thing out of it, like a few times a year (once a quarter or whatever). The convos were pretty good.

Let us make skypecasts every weekend, those who are interested will come, the others will come later.

Lets do it!
