Happily, I interviewed John Smart while at AC 04.. included here: http://www.imminst.org/film

AC has changed their name to ASF... and have recently published an very good Metaverse RoadMap, found here: http://www.accelerating.org

Also, around the country, there are "Future Salon" meetings ... for example, Ben Goertzel in DC, heads up meetings w/ ~15 - 25 folks attending every so often.

Very nice, I contacted them to see if our local Austin Intelligentsia group would be qualified to carry the name: Austin Intelligentsia Future Salon :) I attended AC 03 and enjoyed meeting John Smart, Christine Peterson and others.. I'm happy to see that ASF is still around and contributing so much.

I think there was a Future Salon in Austin, but then they decided to go solo. It is run by Jon Lebkowsky and Derek Woodgate. I am a member of this group and it is truly marvelous, but quite different than transhumanism.

Even though, I like the fact that AI is its own group and not under any group jurisdiction - as futurists this is way cool and the wave of the future :-) We do network with other groups but hold our own. So anyone who wants to network with us is very welcome indeed!

Let 10,0000 flowers bloom!
Natasha
