Plus it is very low fat and low carb. ;)

"The study looked at chocolate's (Total Antioxidant Capacity) TAC and the amount of procyanidins it contained. Milk chocolates have the lowest TAC and procyanidin levels, and baking chocolates contain low levels of procyanidins. The alkalinizing process used to reduce the acidity of chocolates substantially lowers the quantity of procyanidins. Cocoa powder, being the least processed chocolate, contains the highest levels of TAC and procyanidins."

Call me crazy, but I've allowed another attribute of chocolate besides T.A.C. to influence my purchases... T.A.S.T.E. [tung]

From SeventyPercent.com's Lindt Excellence 85% Review:

Astonishingly, Lindt has lapped the field here and produced what is simply the best extra bitter chocolate in production. Besting such stiff competition as Cluizel and Castelain, Lindt has achieved the near-unbelievable for a mass-market chocolatier - made a great chocolate. Simply the essence of what an 85% should be - powerfully intense, densely chocolatey, and without that flatness that so often deflates 85%'s.

Not only is this the best tasting extra dark chocolate on the market, its less than $2 a bar and you can get it in any supermarket or drug store. A serving is 210 calories, 3g fiber, and only 5g sugar. As an extra bitter chocolate, I don't imagine the procyanidins have been subjected to much alkalinization.

I know your joking, but I'm going to answer anyways. One study showed significant cardiovascular health improvements with 22g (around 4 tablespoons) of cocoa powder a day.

Lindt's 85% has sour note's to me. I like the endangered species black panther bar (88% cocoa) the best (also $2 a bar). Valrhona 85% chocolate is also nice.

Mmmmm... health food. mmm.... ;)

Agreed. 22gr of cocoa is bit too much to consume (unless you eat it as a chocolate but then it's not "it").
