Option 8. Some of the other choices were interesting, but nothing comes close to traveling through space and exploring the other 'continents' of our galaxy.

Umm... what's option 7 supposed to be? I want to live long so I can be a young beautiful woman??? :)

I am one with Joel's assumption.

Option 8. Some of the other choices were interesting, but nothing comes close to traveling through space and exploring the other 'continents' of our galaxy.

Justin, to remind you, you already made a similar poll: Why are you interested in immortality? ... what's the point?

Hence, Other Reason, I think it would be to FIGURE OUT THE MEANING OF LIFE, THE OMNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING!
I wish there could be a picture to describe it, but there isn't, because there is no way to phrase it, if there would, it wouldn't be the goal...

Yours truthfully

Yes, I know I already made a poll asking the same question. I just want to do this about every 6 months (if I remember in 6 months or are not too busy).

I think those pictures in Option 6 are a really cool combo.

Option 9. In other words, for power, and eventually transhumanism.

What I was implying earlier:

Option 10 - to perfect the art of relaxation

Very creative poll Justin. I didn't catch it until now.

Option 9 would be my choice, IOW exploring the post human realm.

Although some of those other choices also certainly looked tantalizing. [sfty]

Option 10 - to perfect the art of relaxation

It is difficult to know for sure whether I would go for this one. There is no doubt that I wouldn't mind spending a few years relaxing on some tropical island, but wouldn't that get boring after a while?

Plus, the whole thing about immortality is that you will never know if you have attained it. If I had achieved ENS there is no way I would be sitting back catching a tan (at least not for more than a few weeks). I'd be on to the next problem, ie, switching over from this flimsy substrate. And then, well, then I'll see ya on europa. [thumb]

Can I change my vote to Option 7? I thought about it for a while and I really would like to be a young beautiful woman. [tung]

She is a cow compared to a siginificant amount of poon out there! Maybe you need to get out of the lab!

Hell, in my home town far hotter women look AT ME all the time. And I consider myself average looking.

Where do you live and why am I not living there??

There is no linear scale of beauty... to each his own. Also, I find there are many people who appear much less attractive on camera than in person, and vis versa.

I live in Encinitas, California. Which is about 25 miles north of San Diego and 60 miles south of Los Angeles.

There are women in person who are hotter then most models in magazines and on billboards; they are all over the place.

Well, since the male chauvinism on this thread is already pervasive... [lol]

Jessica Alba is my buddy's favorite (not bad, not bad at all)

However, if we were talking about some future VR scenario I'd have to go with....

i choose options 8 and 9. I see them as been intrisically linked, so I see no need to separate them.

Although I'm liking the male chauvanistic options displayed later in the thread as well... ;)

Esspecially Don's. She only plays my elf daughter.... errr wait, I'm not elrond at the moment so it's all good :p

Options 2 and 9.

Option 2: I'm a graphic designer in this life. I'd like eternity to master every artistic discipline.

Option 9: I live in a frail and useless body. As such I long to escape the limits of biology.

I'll take all of them. I want to do everything. After that, pretty much nothing for a bit as I sit down and make some long-term plans :)

bj's got it right, intelligence amplification, it will allow me to enjoy all of the above, but if you held a gun to my head I would have to say #1 since it encompasses all of the senses.
