18:32:20 Rotaerk jim, have you tried typing that?
18:32:25 James_Swayze Jim do you remember when I fell out of my wheelchair at Asilomar?
18:32:35 James R. Hughes: -- That's a good handle, I've read most of your cryonet material
18:33:41 Jonesey were you dancing James_Swayze?
18:33:49 James_Swayze And you interviewed me for your radio show twice
18:34:01 serenade James_Swayze, wrong Hughes
18:34:01 James_Swayze heh, I wish
18:34:07 Jonesey one can get carried away doing the hokey pokey
18:34:25 James_Swayze I had just arrived and was in the main lodge and it was so dark inside
18:34:40 James_Swayze out the back was a door to the beach and it was real bright
18:34:53 James_Swayze so bright it hid the fact there were steps
18:35:10 James_Swayze I went sailing over and dumped outta my wheelchair
18:35:15 Jonesey whoa dangerous
18:36:06 Rotaerk ouch
18:36:16 Rotaerk why're you in a wheelchair :\
18:36:24 James R. Hughes: -- Not a good longevity plan
18:36:28 James_Swayze Oh/ wrong James hughes? My mistake
18:36:44 James_Swayze I am a qaudriplegic
18:36:49 Rotaerk :(
18:37:03 Rotaerk hmm...
18:37:10 James_Swayze www.davidpascal.com/swayze
18:37:22 Rotaerk wait...how're you typing
18:37:51 James_Swayze I stuff stiks with rubber tubing slid over into my paralyzed fists
18:38:01 James_Swayze My arms move but not fingers
18:38:11 James_Swayze he arms are wired very weirdly
18:38:24 Rotaerk damn..that sucks
18:38:53 James_Swayze Ok, I'm stealing Jim's thunder, Jim tell us more about you.
18:39:20 James_Swayze What is your practice?
18:39:31 James R. Hughes: -- I've been involved in Anti-Aging Medicine for >15 years
18:39:55 James_Swayze Sorry, In my mistaken identity I didn't read your bio. I am aquainted as you can tell with the
18:40:01 James_Swayze other James Hughes
18:40:03 James R. Hughes: -- I learned as much as possible as a selfish endeavor
18:40:30 James_Swayze nothing wrong with that
18:40:47 James R. Hughes: -- I would love to be one of the first "immortals"
18:41:01 James_Swayze so would we all
18:41:03 serenade James R. Hughes: -- , what supplements are you taking?
18:41:07 serenade and which do you recommend
18:41:18 Walt-Disney hey james
18:41:24 Walt-Disney do you want to help me ?
18:41:30 James_Swayze Are you signed up for cryonics? I assume yes if you keep up with the wild wild cryonet
18:41:38 James R. Hughes: -- The money for the current time is one the anti-oxidants, and a wide variety of them.

18:42:15 Walt-Disney James_Swayze
18:42:17 Rotaerk how powerful are anti-oxidants regarding antioxidants
18:42:23 James_Swayze yes?
18:42:28 Walt-Disney would you want to be an admin and help me to post news for www.nanoaging.com ?
18:42:29 Rotaerk oops
18:42:33 Rotaerk regarding anti-aging
18:42:37 Walt-Disney you would be a super user
18:42:38 Rotaerk >_<
18:43:14 James R. Hughes: -- I think that sounds pretty good
18:43:26 James_Swayze Hmmm, I'll have to think about it Jon. I an soo over extended right now.
18:43:41 James_Swayze Let's talk in emailmore about it
18:43:53 serenade James R. Hughes: -- , what sort of anti-aging advancements are you currently working on?
18:43:54 Walt-Disney ok
18:44:21 James_Swayze I'm on Methuselah Foundation board and Venturist PI mag advisor and more.
18:44:30 James R. Hughes: -- I take 200mg VitC 200mg Picnogenol, 1 Gm NAC, Carnitine, and a powerful Multivit
18:44:36 Walt-Disney Personally I think biogerontology is a waste of time, we should more focus on mind uploading, we could put our memory/identity chip everywhere, in cars, moto, vtt, virtual reality, fuck the bio
18:44:53 serenade do you take any Nootropes? Piracetam perhaps
18:44:54 Jonesey are you on CR James R. Hughes: -- ?
18:45:00 Jonesey calorie restriction
18:45:16 James R. Hughes: -- I like the idea of uploading but think it is still a ways off
18:45:32 Walt-Disney humans are unable to fight against cars, robots, we should become robots
18:46:06 Walt-Disney immortality is in the crystal
18:46:07 Walt-Disney !
18:46:08 Rotaerk uploading requires a lot of "hard problems" to be solved first, not to mention the technical stuff
18:46:08 Walt-Disney lol
18:46:16 James R. Hughes: -- I don't do CR as my life is a bit too stressful to accomadate it, and think there are soon to be ways around it
18:47:27 James_Swayze WD, what if people aren't comfortable ith just being data, even though that's what they are now in meat media, lots of people won't accept for a long time become purely electronic.
18:47:58 James R. Hughes: -- To preserve the best, we need to do all that is available to minimize damage before cloning, nanotech and stemcell research make their impact
18:48:29 Walt-Disney you need, you must understand that 90% of all species are dead
18:48:39 Walt-Disney and the samething will happen to humans
18:48:45 Walt-Disney 90% of us will die
18:48:48 Walt-Disney disapear..
18:48:59 Walt-Disney :)
18:49:07 Walt-Disney only the apex will survive
18:49:09 Walt-Disney and..
18:49:20 Walt-Disney we will fight for security in the posthuman world
18:49:31 James R. Hughes: -- I hope to be amoungst the survivors
18:49:37 Walt-Disney computer virus is a problem again
18:49:44 Walt-Disney yeah
18:49:47 Walt-Disney we hope so
18:49:52 Walt-Disney it depends on you
18:50:10 Walt-Disney the choice etc..
18:50:28 Walt-Disney drexler and merkle new passion is security lol
18:50:31 James R. Hughes: -- I tend to think the cyborgenics will precede full uploading
18:50:37 James_Swayze Well, that's really a false argument WD. It's like saying most of all people that ever lved have died there's no way to stop that.
18:50:53 Walt-Disney ok but
18:51:04 Walt-Disney why dinosaur died and mamanlian survived ?
18:51:09 Walt-Disney now what about humans and cars ?
18:51:15 Walt-Disney do you think cars will survive to humans ?
18:51:29 James_Swayze I think technology will allow us to change our destiny, I.E. we make our own destiny, ven stopping big dirt clods from space hitting us.
18:52:20 Walt-Disney I think we simply become a small but powerful chip able to store data and able to be in cars, in robots, in airplanes etc..
18:52:32 Walt-Disney cars, robots, airplanes, bikes, moto are animals
18:52:45 James R. Hughes: -- The developement curve in biotech is far ahead of space tech
18:53:11 Walt-Disney we will put our chips into rockets even
18:53:14 Jonesey life expectancy rate of increase has not increased much James R. Hughes: --
18:53:28 James_Swayze Well, the only constant is change and you could say that homo sapiens are already extinct and that homo sapien sapien technoralis has replced them, Around a million ears ago.
18:53:31 Jonesey esp max lifespan, lifespan of the top 10%
18:53:47 Jonesey huh? homo sapiens sapiens is only 50k ish yrs old
18:53:49 James R. Hughes: -- Augmenting our intelligence will entail synergism with electronic intelligence
18:54:43 James R. Hughes: -- CR is the only to date way to alter lifespan

18:54:57 James_Swayze Well, sometinmes they refer to us as just sapiens, I was being loose
18:54:57 Rotaerk by how much does CR supposedly alter lifespan
18:55:33 Walt-Disney humans will disapear
18:55:40 Walt-Disney and cars will survive with human chips
18:55:50 James_Swayze yes, but humans will replace them
18:55:52 James R. Hughes: -- Stemcell implantation, and nanotechnology will also change lifespan in the nesxt 2 decades conservatively
18:55:53 James_Swayze get it?
18:56:23 Walt-Disney what
18:56:26 James_Swayze I expect to become a post human but I'm still going to think of myself as part of humanity
18:56:45 Walt-Disney to become a post human is difficult to see
18:56:50 James R. Hughes: -- CR can add 10-20% if practiced lifelong.
18:56:54 Walt-Disney you need to go cryonics of course
18:56:56 James_Swayze human-ness is a way of being
18:57:25 James_Swayze I agree Jim
18:57:33 James R. Hughes: -- The gist is that we need to become more intelligent
18:57:39 James_Swayze Nano and bio sooner than people hink
18:57:52 James_Swayze nd in ways not so terribly technical
18:58:13 James_Swayze There's a new cancer treatment slated for 2005 trials
18:58:20 Walt-Disney so you think you wont love to be a robots ?
18:58:26 Walt-Disney and always caring the same body ?
18:58:26 James_Swayze It's a two part nano tech treatment
18:58:40 Walt-Disney I would love to change body like I change my clothes
18:58:41 James_Swayze It has the potential to end cancer as we know it
18:59:46 James R. Hughes: -- Radio-immunotherapy using avidin-biotin
18:59:51 Walt-Disney My body would become a car, a robot (many), a moto, an airplane..
18:59:51 Walt-Disney lol
18:59:56 Walt-Disney forget bio
19:00:06 Walt-Disney do you agree with me ?
19:00:07 James_Swayze I like my body WD, I want it to look and feel, regardless of what it's made of for a very long time. When I stroke a womans thigh in 3505 i want to feel flesh, not aluminum.
19:00:42 Walt-Disney well

19:00:50 Walt-Disney why you wear clothes then if you love your body
19:00:57 Walt-Disney you dont love your body
19:01:12 Rotaerk walt, stop fantasizing
19:01:14 James_Swayze: I don't see the connection
19:01:14 James R. Hughes: I could stand an enhanced body IF I could still think
19:01:16 Walt-Disney lol
19:01:24 Walt-Disney so you think
19:01:31 Walt-Disney you will wear clothes when immortal ?
19:01:44 Rotaerk perhaps
19:01:50 Walt-Disney hhhhm
19:01:54 James_Swayze: depenmmds on where I am
19:01:56 Walt-Disney I would prefer this ->
19:02:10 James R. Hughes: me too
19:02:10 Walt-Disney The lights of my car become my eyes
19:02:24 Walt-Disney hey man
19:02:29 Walt-Disney I could become a bird, a real bird
19:02:47 Walt-Disney if I put my memory/identity chip into an airplane, imagine
19:02:54 Rotaerk heh, you're quite...imaginative :p
19:02:57 serenade James R. Hughes: , this Pycnogenol is your favorite antioxidant?
19:03:19 James R. Hughes: Or better yet an energy being capable of any shape
19:03:47 James_Swayze: I don't think energy can hold a form but a nano celled body could.
19:04:04 James R. Hughes: I think you need the variety so that all oxidation pathways are covered
19:04:04 serenade comes from tree bark
19:04:05 Rotaerk energy is not a physical thing
19:04:08 Walt-Disney what about zero point energy
19:04:09 Rotaerk it's the "ability to do work"
19:04:13 Walt-Disney zpenergy.com
19:04:14 Rotaerk it's a property
19:04:14 serenade ok so tree bark, fruits, etc
19:05:21 James R. Hughes: You do have to be caeful with bark and berries if you get kidney stones
19:05:31 James_Swayze: I take a butt load of vitamins and things like L-carny and coQ etc. but now I learn the vit e might have been for noaht.
19:06:10 serenade ok, im only 20. no worrying about that now :)
19:06:13 James R. Hughes: I also take N acetyl carnitine, and 400mg CoQ10
19:07:28 James R. Hughes: Interestingly enough, the most important thing is attitude
19:08:20 James R. Hughes: Your immune system is exquisitely sensitive to mental attitude
19:08:25 Jonesey i wonder if we'll ever be able to quantify the impact of positive thinking but i would think it must be huge yep
19:08:43 Jonesey i still think calories are bigger though. but then mostly optimists are into CR, optimists with self discipline
19:08:44 serenade I'm a pretty optimistic person. Need to learn to keep the stress down sometimes though
19:09:25 Jonesey * Jonesey slaps serenade with a wet trout
19:09:28 Jonesey wups was that stressful?
19:09:32 James R. Hughes: Stress is self inflicted, you are on the right track
19:09:35 James_Swayze: Heh, some have called me optimistic.
19:09:42 serenade :)
19:10:25 James R. Hughes: CR's drawback is the hunger factor
19:10:28 Walt-Disney I think it`s better to focus on mind uploading into a chip
19:10:47 Walt-Disney and to create a cryonics research for a deanimation alarm system.
19:11:12 Walt-Disney and a way to not lost cooling stability, know what I mean?
19:11:22 Walt-Disney sorry for my poor english
19:11:38 James_Swayze: but while those things are being waited for WD, we msut do something to slow the tide
19:11:42 James R. Hughes: Also to create a mechanism for cryonic preservation before damage is done (before death)
19:12:25 Jonesey James R. Hughes: not so much hunger but missing tasty treats. always easy to deal with bulk hunger via big protein and salads. tougher to deal with the memories of that favourite ice cream, cake et.
19:12:39 James_Swayze: Jim, I think that will come through expanded/ing use of cryo fluids in trauma triage and alsol cryo surgery
19:13:45 James_Swayze: the more we extend the suspension time in the beenign use of these, that people have bno problems accepting the mosre we come closer to them catching on that there's little diff.
19:14:18 James R. Hughes: Diet (CR), exercise (mental and physical) (no offense to JS), anti-oxidants, mental attitude, preemptive preventive health and using all new tools available is my plan
19:15:27 James_Swayze: none taken, you outta see me bashing these keys, now that's exercsie if you've only got arms, :)
19:15:34 Jonesey heheh
19:16:27 James_Swayze: I am slightly over my best weight though but it happened very very lowly mostly due to age and diabetes.
19:16:54 James R. Hughes: I promised my family I'd call them about 10minn ago so TTFN
19:16:57 James_Swayze: I am 6'5" tall and weigh around 240 lb
19:17:16 James_Swayze: ok, well good to meet
