Stuart Dambrot and Clark Matthews will be speaking: Stuart will
give a state-of-the-research presentation stressing the
synergies between disparate developments that show the
singularity is well on its way - possibly ahead of schedule;
Clark will do a presentation on "past futures" about
transhumanist technologies/early "wirehead" stuff and how it
went right or wrong.

Perhaps the best turn out I've ever seen for a local transhumanist event. I did a headcount and there were 55 people when it started.

Good stuff. The one artist (Shane Hope) who was presenting is also having an exhibition at the Winkleman gallery tomorrow.
