A friend's mom has it, what would you recommend?

Here is what LEF says:

Search back for Cancer thread here, and on Avant (M&M too?).

Supplements which come to mind at the moment are :

1. The "dry" form of vitamin E - tocopherol succinate,
which you can get at any health food store. Suggested 800 i.u.
daily. The more common oily form which you find in softgels,
tocopherol acetate, does not seem to be effective.

2. Calcium d-glucarate, can get at health food stores again.
The last I read, it was in Phase 1 clinical trials for breast
cancer prevention. I'm unsure of the therapeutic dosage.

3. The flavonoid luteolin. Quite expensive. You can get
it at http://lutimax.com/

4. Selenium at higher dosages as Se-methylselenocysteine,
say 1,200 mcg daily.

5. Pomegranates. The forms used in cancer trials were the
fermented juice and seed oil. You can't buy the liquid fermented
juice commercially, and the oil is expensive. I was corresponding
with the Israeli researcher, Ephraim Lansky, last year, who
offered to supply them at reduced cost to some cancer friends,
but they did not seem interested.

Failing this, you can try the fresh juice concentrate
or the fermented form in capsules.

The most concentrated fresh juice appears to be from
Nature's Best of UK :

You can buy the seed oil here :

Ephraim Lansky is associated with Pomhealth, so you
can always write to him through them if you wish.

PSK (polysaccharide krestin), extracted from the mushroom,
coriolus versicolor (common name turkey tail), has been used
in Japan since the 70s as adjuvant treatment for cancer and
has been extensively studied.

You can't buy PSK from Japan, since it is registered there
as a drug. Similar extracts can be ordered from the net though,
such as VPS. Quite expensive.

The Chinese further isolated a peptide fraction, PSP
(polysaccharide peptide) in the 80s. It's cheaper than PSK,
but the active fractions are lower. Not as extensively studied
as PSK, but still exhibits potent anticancer activity.
