Resveratrol-500mgs or 5000mgs? Options

Yeah, TMI What you are experiencing is the effects of the 50% of the dose that is not resveratrol. One of the compounds, emodin, is a fairly potent laxative. If you want to do a large dose, you need a high purity extract or a synthetic product. RevGenetics would be one place to look.

Hey guys, great board. . I have just started using Resveratrol. I read the mice study on another forum. It was thought that the eqivelent human dose would be 5000mgs. I went big, i tried the 5000mgs on day one, i know i should have worked into it but i didnt. I have never had the runs worse, my urine was dark orange. I cut the dose in half the next day, same effect. I now am trying 1200mg ed, the runs have calmed down 70 percent, but my urine is still dark orange. During sex with my lady friend, i noticed my semen had an orange tint(sorry!, I know thats to much info!).......what do yall think. How much is needed to get the best results. The product i am using is 50% pure(from custom capsule), so double all the doses above for raw product.....

What Niner said about Emodin is accurate, I'll add a little. Emodin is the pigment in your precious bodily fluids. Plants containing it have been used to dye wool yellow and orange. A good grade of 50% resveratrol extract contains under 5% emodin; cheaper extracts contain twice that. 20 to 30 mg of emodin will give most people mild diarrhea. Sounds like you got over ten times that. A little emodin is a good thing, as it kills cancer cells, after your ordeal you have probably immunized yourself for the next ten years.

I just read your post.

Since you probably bought alot of 50% powder, and don't want to let it go to waste... here is my suggestion (and I am a competitor!)

You have to start with a low dose (under 300mg) and build up to 5000mg. Usually this allows your body to deal with emodin and get used to it over a period of weeks (even then if the powder has very high amoun of emodin, this may not work at all). Unless custom cap has a no questions asked return policy, use a small dosage and add some more to your regimen on a weekly basis.

Let us know if this appears to work for you.

I've been able to build up to 1.6g (800mg of t-res), but that appears to be my limit. Your mileage may vary.

hmm... Red? for the 50% ?? (haven't seen red before...)



The 99% stuff is almost white... its very close though.

For 5g a day would be a little more than 1.8 kilos a year.

So for 2 Kilos of 99% you probably will be looking at $2040 and above ... as always, 50% is much cheaper but you already know the drawbacks.

Now depending on where you get it, you can pay alot less per kilo if you order 5 or more. Look around the internet, maybe someone here can point you to a cheaper source if you are buying bulk powder.

RSV even 99% pure will produce diarrhea in some people if taken at a high enough dosage.
As for the other thing, you might have an infection of the kind an urologist can treat.

No infection, this all started the day i chugged down 5gs of the ResV. I am going to work my way up to 2gs and get my hands on some pure stuff. Im sure i can find it a good bit cheaper than what has been offered.
