As Im sure it occurs to most or all of us, the universes expanse is so great that we cant even conceptualize it. But we would like to right? Im sure this has been gone over in some philosophy and talked about before, but it seems that you can conceptualize the vastness of the universe by contemplating a fractal like this:

If we are but a speck on the planet which is a speck in the solar system, which is a speck in the galaxy, which is speck in the universe, then what is the universe a speck in, and what is that a speck in and so on. ................................................................................
............................................................... and the same in the opposite direction, if a flake of skin is but a speck on us, and a molecule is a speck on that, and an atom is a speck of the molecule and a boson is speck on that, then what is a speck on a boson and so on. Of course we all think of this, Im just bringing it up here in conjunction with the fractal.

This all ads even more depth and urgency to some of the big 8.
