This has been one of my main quests in the last year or so. Recently I was taking GBL when regulary going out which was far superior to alcohol when I could control it. Unfortunately the euphoria can become too much for some people to handle and I am one of these people. I have a mentality of 'higher! higher!' so ended up overdosing quite frequently. Here in the UK club culture is always split between alcohol and drugs. You either do one or the other. Me personally I've always hated alcohol and view it as the most poisonous substance you can consume. So now GBL is a distant memory I am now looking towards alternatives.
So far I have come up with:

1. Phenibut (using maybe once per week - not for any euphoria - but as a social lubricant much like you would use alcohol)

2. Deprenyl+PEA (not practical in my eyes - redosing PEA every half an hour unpractical)

3. Kava Kava (Getting a good source obviously important - UK laws I think would restrict and make this choice impossible anyway)

Anyone else got any ideas?

I imagine kratom would work pretty well as a social lubricant, given its simultaneous stimulating and depressant properties. I don't feel comfortable recommending recreational drugs on this forum though, blue light is probably a better spot.

Oh, and HyperHydrosis, botulinum toxin is the most poisonous substance you can consume. Alcohol, when consumed in moderation, correlates with protection from cardiovascular disease and dementia. ;)

Where can I get 1,3-Dimethylpentylamine?

Also, is IP6 and Inositol the same?

Any thoughts about this?

No. IP6 is Inositol hexaphosphate. A very different molecule.

Not sure what I think of this. Never heard of it till a friend emailed me about it the other day (which is amazing since I've been on the supplemental bandwagon for 25 years now, and especuially fond of stimulants/focus-improvers/nootropics etc.)

Here's one source:
http://www.nutraplan...g-100-caps.html

On that page there's some description/discussion, also some customer review which provide perspective.

Very much looking forward to trying it.

Here's a list of all there products that contain it:
http://www.nutraplan...methylamylamine

The JACK3D product looks like it is probably quite good.

So does Phenadrine... the combination of a highly absorbable form Tyrosine to regenerate catecholamines with 3 different stimulants working via varied biochemical pathways looks pretty excellent to me.

As a fan in general of the phenethylamine ring and its countless varied and useful forms, this has me instantly obsessed with researching it... here's the initial info from the page on the pill...

(Starting a new topic on that substance to collect in its own thread what people may have to say about it)

N-Methyl-Beta-Methylphenylethylamine HCL

This is a truly unique and novel compound. Chances are you are familiar with the pathways of Beta-Phenylethylamine (PEA). You may also be familiar with N-Methyl-Beta-Phenylethylamine HCL. Yet, do not confuse N-Methyl-Beta-Phenylethylamine HCL with our much more potent agent, N-Methyl-Beta-Methylphenylethylamine HCL with several methyl groups that render it super stable and remorselessly effective. This novel agent works! That simple!

A remarkable compound, even in its pure form, Beta-Phenylethylamine (PEA), a catecholamine precursor and nutrient found in chocolate, is known to be a very clean stimulant with the remarkable ability to achieve central-nervous-system stimulation without producing nervousness or the jittery feeling associated with other stimulants. Like norepinephrine, the body's most potent endogenous fat-burning hormone, PEA acts on alpha-receptors in the brain, triggering the release of the "feel-good" hormone, dopamine (3,4-dihydroxy-phenethylamine) in neural cells. PEA is also responsible for chocolate's effect on mood, sense of satiety, reduced food cravings, mild euphoria, as well as increased metabolic rate (by modulating thyroid function). Also known as a neuromodulator, PEA promotes mental alertness, focus and concentration. By regulating catecholamines such as epinephrine (adrenaline) and norepinephrine (noradrenaline) that act on hormone-sensitive lipase, the rate-limiting enzyme in the mobilization of fatty tissue from storage cites, PEA elevates the metabolic rate, ultimately leading to increased fat burning. Unfortunately, PEA is rapidly metabolised in the body by type B monoamine oxidase and has a limited ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, thus preventing it from unleashing its full effects. The challenge was to obtain a form of PEA with a type B monoamine-oxidase inhibitor property. N-Methyl-Beta-Phenylethylamine HCL is an N-Methyl derivative of Beta-Phenylethylamine. This methylated form of PEA is dramatically more potent than pure PEA, and takes PEA's CNS stimulation and fat-burning several notches higher. While we could have used this compound, we decided to aim still higher. Now enters N-Methyl-Beta-Methylphenylethylamine HCL. This novel and carefully engineered unique agent represents the most potent form of PEA ever developed. It is not an N-Methyl derivative of N-Methyl-Beta-Phenylethylamine HCL, rather an N-Methyl derivative of methylated Beta-Phenylethylamine HCL! It is like "double methylation"! Technically speaking, we astronomically boosted the pharmacokinetic value of PEA! This "double methylated" form unites the finest properties of PEA such as easily crossing the blood-brain barrier, intensifying fat-burning due to optimised beta-receptor agonism while demonstrating unprecedented stability to B monoamine oxidation, implying a longer-lasting and more intensive overall action.

I just finished a tub of Jack3d. It really powered my workouts. I would've got another tub, but they were sold out when I was in the states. It did give me a few sleepless nights when I drank it too late, though. You want to start out with 1 scoop to see how it affects you, maybe even 1/2 scoop, then go up from there if needed. I was doing 2 scoops, but I workout at 3PM when I am normally sleepy, so I needed an extra boost, plus I weigh 200 lbs.

Can you post the exact product name as it appears on the bottle and any web address they give?

What's in it, besides, I assume, caffeine?

Regading geranium or 1,3-DMAA as it's called: it's not bad for a legal stimulant, but overly ineffective on its own. Taken with caffeine the effects are pronounced and it will definitely give you more energy. Higher doses are slightly euphoric, i.e. tingly legs, but the crash is horrible and after ~4 hours it will have you crawling in to bed if you take too much.

Also it tastes like geraniums, which isn't too pleasant.

Personally for extra energy I think some caffeine, gingko and ALCAR work well together, and possibly a low dose of 1,3-DMAA.

Thanks for the perspecive and advice. I will definitely get some, its available cheap, to combine with caffeine as you suggest. Big big help.

Probably less harmful on brain and heart than official legally prescribed pharms used for ADD today.

I can't recommend B-vitamins enough. Someone else mentioned Rhodiola Rosea and that stuff does a lot for long term energy, makes you feel a little lighter when exercising. Also, I read today that astaxanthin can help promote good energy levels and it has a lot of other antioxidant benefits as well.
