PMs have been disabled for Registered Users. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We should have a solution to the spammer problem soon.

How about using Re-Captcha before a user is able to register as well as login to the system?
I used this in Thoughtware.TV and it completely eliminated automated messaging and spamming.

Hi Mind. I was worried about this. I was trying to check if you had answer a question that I sent you a few days ago. It was about membership. If you don't get it please let me know so I will contact you again (and tell me how I can do that :-) Thanks!

When this gets fixed will our past messages (that we wrote) still be available?

Hopefully, everything won't get cleared?

how about making a feature, that you could only use the messagin system if you're registred more then 1 week/month ?
that would definetly stop the spammers

That is the type of solution that is being implemented.

Imminst is still working on the IPB upgrade in order to manage the spam problem. Sorry for the wait.

Hopefully, that problem should now be solved.
There will still be spam, but maybe its some consolation that the spammers have to work much harder for it now.

I'm having trouble replying to PMs and sending them. Is there a limit to how many I can send or reply to within a certain amount of time?

I tried adding this one poster as a friend but couldn't do that either. I don't know if adding a friend would make it easier to send a PM to that one poster (but its more steps to send a new PM then just hitting reply).

If my problem is related to the spam issue maybe adding friends is a way to allow users to have more PM capabilities if there are limitattions now (if that option is available). New users just looking spam are not going to get existing posters to agree to be added as their friend.

There is something wrong with the messaging system.

The most recent messages are not in my inbox when I go back later to try again to send a reply. I have to open the emailed link to access them. And there are several of the most recent PMs missing.

It seems to hinder sending multiple PMs in a short span of time. Is this limitation going to be the permenent solution to new users sending spam to many people? I thought it was going to effect recently registered users?

That's much better than nothing, certainly I don't tink I'd send any more than that anyway :|? Good incentive to buy membership I guess.
