Healthy young people living in the South Florida area: fill this form and pass the message around!

and participate in a potential cancer cure [elligibility, trial web site, thread]: once the form sent, you will receive an email to make an apointment and have a little blood sampled and tested for cancer-resistance. Many healthy people need to participate because a small fraction only may match enrolled cancer patients. There is also a form for cancer patients to enroll, after they read the conditions.

Note 1: in imminst i thought someone had to post this thread:
the trial comes from the discovery of cancer-resistant mice by Zheng Cui, the research has been promoted by Aubrey de Grey and presented at UBBA (UCLA, 2008). When Chris Heward, respected anti-aging leader, friend of Mind, founder of Kronos Laboratories, was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, he started creating a such mini trial but died before receiving anything. When Bill 'The FirstImmortal' was fighting against his cancer he asked if he could benefit too but the trial had not started yet.

Note 2: Cancer cure 'may be available in two years' (Telegraph, 20 sept 2007)

Based on imminst and MF posts, the trial is appearently in need of blood donors and money too.

Today an organiser of the trial sent me this by email (i put important things in bold):

We are trying to raise funds and also recruit [South Florida healthy] blood donors at this time.
Patients can apply, but we have quite a long list and are only going to be able to treat a total of 29.

fill in the form, help constitute the donors list: only a small fraction of donors statistically correspond to patients

It would be nice if anyone doing this, or planning to do it, would comment in this thread.

Also, it would great it there was some way to have folks outside of the south FL to be able to have a blood sample sent in to see if they can be matched. People might just make the trip down on their way to keys this summer ;) if it meant helping save a life... but I guess during trials this isn't yet practical.

donate money too for the trial

We are still working to get monetary funding to support the study, as well as finding white blood cell donors to build the Donor Registry. These white blood cell donors are the 'medicine' for the treatment, and without them we have no study.

If you know of anyone who would be able to become a white blood cell donor (must live in south Florida or spend an extended amount of time there), please refer them to our website and have them complete the Donor Reply Form. The website is www.bmscti.org Click on the "Clinical Trials" link on the left side of the Home Page.

Once we have the Donor Registry built, and the $$ funding in place, we will be evaluating all patient applications in the order they are received to determine if we can enroll an individual into the study.
