Hello!

I began ingesting a {pramiracetam + alpha-GPC + hydergine} compound*, but I thought I was missing something: [sic] I purchased an {omega-3} supplement with {vinpocetine, bacopa, phosphatidylserine, and vitamins}, yet I still felt 'dry'. I gathered {spirulina}; although energizing, it wasn't the answer! I then acquired one-hundred {choline} capsules: The substances are now beginning to feel effective.

Nonetheless, someone has suggested that the effects of the choline are mere placebo. Will you please link to studies which show choline to be a necessary 'steering-fluid' for racetams and nutritives?**

Thank you! 8 ^ )

*5/7 Days:

Pramiracetam{ 500mg

Alpha-GPC{ 300mg

Hydergine{ 3mg

7/7 Days

Omega Oils{ ~3000mg

Bacopa, Phosphatidylserine, Vinpocetine{ ~600mg

Vitamins{ Exceeding minimum requirements

Spirulina{ 3000mg

Choline Bitartrate{ 1200mg

**I am using scholar.google.com to search for studies.

Two other questions:-

1.) Should I take piracetam, too?

2.) [EDIT]

Choline Bitartrate is a waste of time IMO because of low bioavailability. Stick with the Alpha GPC, althought there are not that many studies showing its effectiveness. CDP choline is a different story.

Pramiracetam is also dodgy IMO.

Stick with Pira/Oxi/Ani if pram isn't giving you the benefits you want.

Hydergine did nothing for me. Vinpo neither.

What exactly are you trying to achieve here?

Where do you recommend I purchase citicholine?

I have found a tremendous difference between Citicoline and AGPC. AGPC gives me headaches and a muddled mental feeling, while citicoline is clean and very well tolerated. I was highly surprised by the strong difference between the two as far as my personal physiological response. I wish I understood why this was.

I purchase citicholine from iHerb, http://www.iherb.com...ules/13484?at=0, I generally purchase four 150 cap bottles as you get an additional discount. I find that two caps per day is adequate for 3 grams piracetam, two grams in the morning and 1 gram after lunch. I also take 100 mg DMAE with each dose of piracetam, and a cap of Jarrow B-Right in the morning.

The original question still hasn't been satisfactorily answered: where is the literature that explores choline usage concurrently with racetams, bacopa, etc.?

This topic is very important because personally I've come to believe that the amount of choline people are supplementing with is dangerously high when used for extended periods of time. Everyone has a range, but 3-5g choline (citrate) every day for months on end does not appear to be healthy.

The results seem to be very mixed. Some studies show a strong synergistic effect, some show none, some show that the combination is worse than placebo. I'd be interested to hear your reasoning for why 3-5g of choline citrate would be unhealthy over the long term.

Nootropics, or "smart-drugs", are obviously ingested as flavor-enhancers. 8 ^ )

A Non-Humorous Reply: My 'goal' is to develop a clearer mind.

Update: I am now taking a multi-vitamin, vitamin E, vitamin D-3, a mind-enhancing Ginkgo compound, Holy Basil, Piracetam, CDP-Choline, Spirulina, and fish-oils.

A question out of the thread subject for those who know about choline, I searched thru forums but did not find satisfying informations about it: can centrophenoxine be use as choline source for racetam users ? I currently use ani and pram with cdp and thinking about trying something else.
