The Executive Director is a paid position that began in November 2007.

NEW Terms

  • Salary: US$600 per month, detracting insurance, taxes and other related costs
  • Working hours: 18 hrs/week; time budget can be accumulated and shifted flexibly as required. 1 week paid vacation per 12 month period.
  • Bonus: a Bonus of up to US$1000 may be paid per 6-month interval if designated performance related targets have been met.
  • Reports to: The board. (2 weeks notice for dismissals)

NEW Duties

  1. dealing with current and potential sponsors
  2. ensuring that votes and referenda are conducted properly
  3. answering and relaying queries from members
  4. dealing with regulatory affairs
  5. Coordinate
    1. funding drives
    2. dealing with technical problems
    3. content
  6. Generate renevue via commercial sponsors
    1. 2 sponsors approached per month
  7. Maintain a front page
    1. 2 news items per week, with commentary.
    2. 1 major item per month
  8. Organize and moderate a Sunday evening chat
    1. must have its own page

  9. Assist in member initiatives, making sure the initiative is organized, goal-specific, and completed during a defined timespan.
    1. make sure that all suggestions are given a poll
    2. present a selection of most promising suggestions to the board (quaterly?)
  10. Organize and facilitate of the board and meetings of leadership

OLD Terms

  • Salary: US$600 per month
  • Commission: 10% on all new sponsor contracts for the website (sponsors must be approved by the board of directors)
  • Bonus: US$400 for every new 100 full members who join the Institute.


OLD Duties

  1. Content manager for the website, primarily for the front page. A front page redesign should be accomplished during the trial period.
  2. As part of the content management, a front page news feed (twice a week at a minimum with the goal of a daily news feed by the end of the trial period), and a original feature article (every other week at a minimum with the goal of once a week by the end of the trial period).
  3. Organize and moderate a Sunday evening chat.
  4. Be the point/lead person in member initiatives, whatever they may be. Be the person that makes sure the initiative is organized, goal specific, and completed during a defined timespan. Initially not for things as big as the film but for smaller outreach-type efforts.
  5. Responsible for general site clean-up and organization.
  6. Sell sponsorship and ad space on the ImmInst.org sites.
