Writing Contest
In February 2010 ImmInst launched a short story contest amoung its visistors and Members. Deadline for submissions was the Endo of March 2010, all ImmInst Members then voted on each entry. Twelve stories were submitted and in the end it was very close. The following entries were selected:
- 1st Place:"Post-apocalyptic resurrection" - by 'Wandering Jew'
- 2nd Place:"Follow your heart and your dreams will follow" - by 'JediMasterLucia'
- 3rd Place:"Paviki" - by 'Jimmy'

TEXT OF THE ANNOUNCEMENT:
It is 2010 and time again for forward-thinking individuals to put their best pen forward to communicate the ideals, vagaries, possibilities, and dreams of radical life extension, human enhancement, and immortality.
Throughout the history of the Immortality Institute a high priority has been placed on communication. The use of various media including graphic arts, film, and prose has always been a powerful means of disseminating ideas and the idea of life extension is no exception. This focus has led to the creation of the world’s first comprehensive tome on modern scientific efforts and philosophy of immortality – The Scientific Conquest of Death, and the documentary film Exploring Life Extension (both available free online).

5. Submission Deadline: March 27th, 2010
6. All entries submitted to Mind (Justin Loew/Exec. Director)
7. Winners determined by Imminst member poll
8. Winners announced April 27th
